"We are turning GG into GGapp" is the slogan of the pre-campaign promoting the crowdfunding of the most popular Polish messenger GG. Known for its iconic message sound, fun emoticons, and status messages, GG raised a whole generation of Poles. Soon, under the name GGapp, the whole of Europe may hear about it as a super app offering secure communication in text chats and audio-video calls, a social function with the ability to share photos, posts, and videos, mobile online payments, money transfers between users with currency exchange, access to a broad catalog of digital and e-commerce services.
At the beginning of June, the pre-campaign of Fintecom S.A. launched on the platform www.emiteo.pl. Investors can submit preliminary, non-binding investment declarations before the official start of the share issue. Subscription for the planned share issue will open on June 12. This will allow anyone to become a shareholder in the company developing the messenger, which has global ambitions and is already implementing new solutions in communication, mobile payments, and AI.
As part of the share issue, Fintecom S.A., the owner of GG, plans to carry out the first stage of essential and thorough changes to the messenger`s software, appearance, and user experience.
The crowdfunding campaign for GG, planned for two years, was postponed until today due to regulatory changes related to investment crowdfunding and internal processes at the company. During this time, the messenger`s developer worked intensively on new products:
- released the first version of the new team communication messenger for companies called GGapp with audio-video calls,
- introduced and is developing the AI Assistant
- and the new GGchat for websites,
- expanded the classic GG messenger with several practical services like a link shortener, large file transfers, public profiles
- and the GGwallet virtual wallet integrated with the app.
The GGapp application is ultimately intended to be not only a hub for safe, encrypted communication in EU countries, but also a social app with many new functions, including a tool for fast payments. The idea comes from its owner - Fintecom S.A., previously known under the brand England.pl, which has offered international money transfers for many years and holds the status of a National Payment Institution granted by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF). The license allows the company to operate financially in all EU countries.
We are opening a new chapter in GG`s development, aiming to turn the messenger into a European super app that integrates many everyday practical services in one place in an increasingly digital world said Romuald Remus, CEO of Fintecom S.A. We plan to allocate the funds raised through investment crowdfunding to rewrite the classic GG in a new cross-platform technology and eventually merge the classic GG with the new GGapp, which is already being tested by companies and institutions.
Thanks to Fintecom S.A., the legendary Polish brand has been back in the hands of a fully Polish-rooted company since 2018. Thanks to a loyal community and the persistence of the entire team, GG has not shared the fate of many well-known internet brands that disappeared from the Polish landscape. Instead, it has become a profitable, success-oriented app. Over 13,000 users support the messenger`s development every month by purchasing the GG Premium version. Today, more than 400,000 users use Gadu-Gadu regularly each month in its mobile, browser, and desktop versions, including many small and medium-sized enterprises.
The company`s pre-campaign is ongoing on the Emiteo platform. Currently, preliminary, non-binding investment declarations can be submitted on the company`s pre-campaign site, where users can provide their email address to receive information shortly about how to subscribe for shares in the Fintecom S.A. issue. We hope this will be one of the most exciting projects financed through investment crowdfunding this summer said Romuald Remus.
